Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you use the free check, we collect the property address you enter and the approximate coordinates we derive from it. If you ask us to email you your free estimate, we collect your email address for that purpose. When you buy a report, we also collect your email address so we can deliver it.

We also record anonymous usage events (for example, that a check was run or a result was shown) to understand how the product is used. These events contain no address and no email — only the step taken and non-identifying context like the state.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe processes the payment and returns only a confirmation and a reference to us.

2. How we use your information

We use your address to run the eligibility check and pull the relevant public state DOT permit and traffic data. We use your email to deliver your report and to send transactional messages about your order (for example, a delivery email or a problem with generation). We do not send marketing email unless you separately opt in.

3. Who processes your data

We use a small set of trusted service providers to run the product, and your data passes through them only to provide it to you:

• Supabase — stores your order, lookup, and the generated report file. • Stripe — processes payment. • Resend — sends your delivery and estimate emails. • Mapbox — converts the address you type into map coordinates (geocoding); the address is sent to Mapbox for that lookup. • OpenStreetMap — provides the map tiles shown on result maps. • Anthropic — generates the written sections of your report; the property data assembled for your report (address, traffic, nearby permits) is sent to Anthropic's API to produce that text. • Vercel — hosts the site and provides cookieless, aggregate page analytics (we strip the property address from analytics URLs).

Each provider handles your data under its own terms and security practices. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

4. Data retention

We keep your order and report records so we can re-send or support your purchase and meet our record-keeping needs. You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time by emailing support@theownersreport.com, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

5. Cookies and tracking

The site uses only what is necessary to function. We use Vercel Web Analytics — cookieless, aggregate page statistics that do not identify you — and we record the first-party usage events described in section 1. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

6. Your choices

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@theownersreport.com.

7. Children

The Owner's Report is intended for property owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted here, with the date below, is the current one.
